By Kenneth Shannon

Celexa has had many different types of side effects that have been compiled and reported by numbers of consumers.

In many cases, the extremity of these side effects have gone down dramatically as the patient stays on the medicine and brings down their own depressive state.

Assuming that you experience any or all of the side effects listed below, or that you know anyone who has, you should consult your local physician as soon as possible. They may recommend you to a lower dosage or a different type of medication in general.

SSRI's are quite a drug. They react differently in just about every case and on every person.

So the intention of this article is to go over the basic and most common of side effects that have been reported on Celexa in an attempt to better your preparation, allowing you to be of much more comfort in the initial stages.

Below I have compiled a list of the not so severe, yet most common:

Constipation

Libido lowering, lack or lower than normal sexual drive

Dizziness

Diarrhea

Sweating abnormally

Lowering of or lack of your normal appetite

Always having a feeling of being tired or weak

The list above is only intended to be a compilation of the most commonly reported symptoms and effects, and should not in any way be taken as a complete or whole list. It is important that you consult with your physician in any case of any abnormalities. However, it is not necessarily recommended to be extremely worried as the above mentioned are typically harmless.

Here are some of the more severe symptoms. If you experience any of these you should stop use immediately and recieve immediat medical attention:

Severe reactions such as hives, itching, breaking out, extreme difficulty while breathing, or if you experience a tight feeling in your chest area.

Chest pain

Late or lack of menstrual period

Restless and fidgety feeling

Difficulty sleeping

Unexpected mood changes, similar to those with bi-polar

Peeling and or blistering skin

Decreased ability to concentrate for longer periods of time

This is a list of the most commonly known harmful effects of Celexa and you should contact your doctor or medical agency immediately for help if you experience them or any other abnormality type symptoms that you feel should not happen.
