What You Can Do To Maintain Your Beauty

By Rosemary Salley

Making yourself more beautiful does not require spending a fortune, and is a lot easier than you might think. This article contains a number of tips on how you can improve your appearance while sticking to a budget!

Not everyone needs powder every day but it does help your foundation, concealer, and primer last longer through the day. Avoid using it too much as it will weigh down your face and perhaps make your face looks like it has too much makeup on it.

Lipsticks and lip glosses can last from 2-4 years. Because lipsticks generally have an oil-based formulation, they tend to smell rancid when they go bad, and should be tossed right away. Keeping your lip products in the refrigerator can extend their shelf life.

Be sure to get plenty of sleep at night. Your body cells repair themselves the best when your body is at rest. To give you cells a chance to rejuvenate, get more sleep.

If you would like to use a blush in addition to your natural skin tone, look for peach or apricot shades. Rosy or pink shades can bring out the ruddy look of your complexion. If you would like the look of a healthy tan without the risk of sun damage, look for self-tanning products to create the look you want.

Stress has a substantial negative effect on your body in many ways, and the result may be written on your face. Tension creates frown lines and pursed lips that tend to become permanent over time. It is difficult to have a beautiful smile and pleasant appearance when worry and stress are affecting your feelings. Concentrate on taking time to relax and enjoy yourself often enough to offset those negative influences.

Take care of your teeth! It is hard to feel beautiful and confident about the way you look when your mouth is filled with discolored or rotting teeth. Brush your teeth twice a day, floss once per day, use a good mouthwash and visit a dentist every six months for regular cleanings. If your teeth are healthy but not as white as you would like, you can try whitening trays, whitening strips or even asking a professional about laser teeth whitening. A healthy, white smile will help you to look your best.

Use a mild cleanser daily, exfoliate regularly and moisturize at least twice a day. Proper hydration decreases the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. A healthy, well-balanced diet can actually reverse some damage done by free radicals. Your moisturizer should hydrate your skin without causing acne or clogging pores.

Do not keep mean people in your social circle. Surround yourself with kind hearted people. The people you socialize with reflect who you are and you reflect who they are. If the people you normally socialize with are not positive, happy people, find a new group of friends.

Improving your skin will help you look beautiful. Apply the tips you've learned about from this article and see if your skin improves. Good luck!
