Tips on how to stop warts from spreading

By Caroline Chandler

Warts are caused by a virus, and can indeed spread to other areas of the body, as well as to other people. The human body will at some point build up an immunity to the virus that causes them to grow, but this can take quite some time.

Young children and those with weak immunity are most at risk as those groups have not had long enough to build up sufficient immunity to halt the warts from forming.

It is possible to get rid of these unsightly skin growths. Though they will go away on their own eventually, most people do not have the patience to wait months or even years for this to happen naturally.

There are now some products on the market that will stop warts from growing and can cause them to eventually disappear. Many of these so called cures will work right away while others will take longer.

In order to prevent spreading, the virus must be contained. One simple method for doing this it to wash your hands with antibacterial soap as much as possible. Hands should be washed in warm water for at least twenty seconds in order to reduce the amount of germs.

Another method on which to stop the HPV virus from spreading is, when cutting ones nails do them over a suitable rubbish bin to collect the cuttings. When finished you can either soak the nail clippers in alcohol or hydrogen peroxide amd make sure to thoroughly wash your hands after trimming ones nails as nails are a place that the HPV virus will hide.

If you carry out all of the above hygiene advice it will go a long way in helping the prevention of catching the wart virus and even though warts are not a risk to ones general health they can affect ones self esteem and of course self confidence.

Both children and adults would rather not have them. There is no reason to live with this problem, as there are now effective treatments available that can help.
